Adam has served as a senior intelligence analyst (96B20, E5/SGT) for 10 years in the Washington Army National Guard, first with 1st Battalion, 161st Infantry (Mech), later reorganized as a Combined Arms Battalion (CAB) and then with 1st Squadron, 303rd Cavalry, both part of the 81st Brigade (RAVEN).  He served with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Calvary Division in OIF II (Operation Iraqi Freedom).

 Adam is currentlyserving as a Chaplain (1st Lieutenant) in the Army Reserve (as of June 10, 2010) and will attend Chaplain Officer Basic Leadership Course in September 2010.
