Levi joined the Army National Guard in 2002 while he was a junior in high school.  He attended Basic Training between his junior and senior year and his Advanced Individual Training following his graduation from high school. 

In 2004, Levi was deployed to Egypt.  In 2005, Levi volunteered for a follow on deployment to Iraq.  He deployed to Iraq with the 3-103rd AR from the Pennsylvania National Guard which was attached to 2-69 of the 3rd Infantry Division.  He was stationed at Camp Corregidor in Ramadi during this deployment. 

On October 3, 2005, Levi was shot during a firefight but was back with is unit within 30 hours.  Levi finished his tour and then was back in Iraq in 2007 working in a personal security detachment for the Department of Defense.  He is a currently a Sergeant (e-5) in the Massachusetts National Guard.
