Robert B. Robeson flew 987 combat medical evacuation missions in South Vietnam (1969-1970), helping to evacuate 2,533 patients. He had seven helicopters shot up by enemy fire and was twice shot down.

            As a writer, he has been published over 730 times in 260 publications in 130 countries, which include the Reader’s Digest, Positive Living, Vietnam Combat, Soldier of Fortune, Official Karate, Frontier Airline Magazine and Newsday, among others.

            He’s been awarded 15 George Washington Honor Medals for essays, articles and speeches on freedom by national award juries of the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, Pa. He’s also been decorated eight times for valor by two governments.

            Robeson retired from the U.S. Army as a lieutenant colonel after 27½ years of military service on three continents. In addition, he’s been a newspaper managing editor and columnist and is now a full-time professional writer.
